Ellisland Farm
(6 miles north of Dumfries, A76)

This farm was the home of Robert Burns between 1788 and 1791. During this period he produced some of his most significant works. The farm buildings and cottage have recently been restored. New displays have been introduced, together with an audio visual programme, which tells the story of this important period in Burns' life. There are also attractive riverside walks where Burns created his poetry.
