National Trust for Scotland
18th Century house in which E.A. Hornel, the artist of "Glasgow Boys" fame, added
a gallery and studio. The Japanese influenced garden is still much as he created it.
The house contains many of his paintings and an extensive collection of Scottish

collection, Thomas Carlyle; Scott; Barrie etc.
